It's wonderful to have retired from work and to have the opportunity to be a writer – to write mystery thrillers has been a life long ambition of mine.
I qualified as a Solicitor in 1973 and started my own practice in 1976. In my early forties I also trained as a Complementary Therapist. I practised part-time in both for some years. Now, at last, I'm an author!
I also teach various workshops with a complementary medicine theme, and enjoy gardening, reading, soap-making, drumming, gong baths, cooking, making aromatherapy creams and potions, walking the dog, singing, eating, dowsing and meditating, as well as writing.
I'm lucky to live close to the sea in an area of outstanding natural beauty not far from Romney Marsh. I'm very happily married, with two grown-up daughters and a beautiful but ancient and lazy Saluki dog.
My ideal way of spending a day is a long meditative walk through the beautiful countryside, breakfast on the veranda with my husband, an hour or two trying to wrestle some semblance of order into a large wild garden, more food, and then to write into the small hours.
